A Personal Message to
Caregivers Everywhere
I’m Maxwell R. Moore — a humble son of my Mom Michele (Big Mick).
My journey didn’t start in a classroom or a certification program. For four straight years, I became her primary caregiver—day and night, seven days a week. I learned the hard way what most people never see: how quickly caregiving can erase your sleep, your identity, your social life, your confidence, and your health… while you’re still trying to show up with love and patience.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning everything I can about caregiving—dementia and memory care, caregiver burnout, stress physiology, emotional regulation, boundaries, and the reality of navigating an industry that often feels cold, confusing, and impersonal. I’ve studied, researched, listened, and written—building practical tools and straight-talk guidance based on lived experience, not theory. I’m not here to pretend caregiving is easy. I’m here because caregivers deserve more recognition and tools to help themselves.
Professionally, my background is in security and operations leadership—years of managing people, schedules, high-stress environments, and real-world problem solving. That same discipline now powers how I approach caregiving education and advocacy: clear structure, practical systems, and honest support that respects how intense this life can be.
If you’re a caregiver, love a caregiver, or have ever felt invisible while taking care of someone else—my goal is simple: help you feel seen, grounded, and strong again… one day at a time.
