A Personal Message to
Caregivers Everywhere
Michele Jean McClain (12/2/1948) Michele (spelled with one “L”) was a sweet, kind, hardworking, loving soul who did the best she could with what life gave her. She was a giver. She wanted to be liked, cared for, and safe. She worked as a hairdresser until carpal tunnel forced her to retire, and later she surprised everyone by becoming a security guard training hard, learning fast, and earning certificates her son proudly made for her. She loved deeply and always ended phone calls with “I love you.” Michele carried a quiet history of pain, but she still showed up for others with warmth and heart. Her life and struggles are a big reason her son created I AM FREAKING FANTASTIC to help good people who are hurting feel seen, supported, and worth caring for.
